Dear guest,

The passion for Danish mid-century design came from my grandfather, who was a painter and head of exhibition at the Louisiana Museum in Denmark.

It was a single piece of Kaare Klints furniture that inspired me to create a living, Danish furniture design museum at the Hotel Alexandra that people could stay in.

When we started collecting, it quickly became a passion for my team and I and we had a lot of help from the Danish Architecture school, in regards to how we should treat each piece of furniture, and what the stories behind each piece were. Now we train our staff in Danish design history, so they are knowledgeable, and understand its historical and the cultural heritage to Denmark.

The team and I feel very fortunate to share our passion with you and our aim is to make our guests feel  like they are staying with a Danish design loving friend in Copenhagen.

We truly hope to see you soon at the Hotel Alexandra.
